Eligibility

Who can register?

NBDC membership is designed for new businesses that meet the following criteria.

Registered within 36 months

Your business was formally registered in the last three years.

Operating locally

Headquartered or primarily operating within our service region.

Fewer than 50 employees

Sole proprietors, partnerships and small teams all qualify.

In good standing

Current with state registration and any required licences.

Yes. NBDC is supported by public and private partners, so membership and core programs are free for eligible businesses.

Membership requires a registered business, but we host a free monthly "Registering Your Business" workshop that walks you through choosing a structure and filing with the state. See our Events page for dates.

Membership runs for up to 36 months from your approval date, with an annual check-in to update your growth plan.

Yes. Membership is per business, and up to three owners or key team members can attend programs and events under a single membership.
