The National Business Development Center ("NBDC," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit nbdc.online (the "Site") or apply for membership, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

If you subscribe to our event updates, we collect your email address. If you email us directly, we receive the contents of your message and your contact details.
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you request and the date and time of your visit. This information is used to deliver and secure the Site.

Ownership information such as minority-owned or woman-owned status is optional. We use it only to connect you with relevant programs, resources and funding opportunities and to understand the community we serve. It is never used to deny membership.
The Site loads certain content from third-party services to display correctly, including fonts from Google Fonts and images from Unsplash. When your browser loads this content, those services may receive technical information such as your IP address. Their use of that information is governed by their own privacy policies.
The Site may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of websites we do not control, and we encourage you to review their policies.
We keep application and membership information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain accurate program records and meet legal, accounting or reporting requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.
Identity and business documents you upload (such as your photo ID) are kept only as long as needed to verify your application and maintain required records, and are then deleted.
You may ask us to delete your information at any time using the contact details below.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to the Site and private, access-controlled accounts for stored applications and uploaded documents. Uploaded documents are not shared publicly and are accessible only to authorized NBDC staff. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Site and our programs are intended for business owners who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
